Hervey Bay Barge 2 Beach
WHY CHOOSE THIS OCEAN SWIM?
This exciting addition to the Hundy weekend is an ocean swim with a difference.
As the name suggests, the swim will start on a barge, and you will swim 2km back to shore, finishing at the Hervey Bay 100 race precinct area on the beach near Enzo’s.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female swimmers
$45 entry fee covers the 2km swim logistics, custom cap and athlete gift
The swim is sanctioned by Triathlon Australia. Race category will follow Triathlon Australia rules, with social swimmers allowed swim aids, but will be classfied differently in the results
Competitors will be responsible for their own transport to the Urangan Boat harbour on Saturday morning. Barge will leave at exactly 5:30am. Gear drop will be made available on the barge, with equipment taken back to race precinct at Scarness
Race registration will be from 4:15-5:15am in the Urangan Boat Harbour carpark, at the end of Jetty Street, Urangan.
