Lake Argyle Swim
WHY CHOOSE THIS SWIM?
The 2019 First National Kimberley Lake Argyle Swim provides experienced swimmers with an unsurpassed outback adventure. Swimmers are greeted with clean freshwater that’s free from sharks, bluebottles, ocean rips & chafing. With water temperatures between 22 – 26 degrees, it really is a delightful swim.
Lake Argyle is located 75 kms from the town of Kununurra in WA and just 40kms from the NT border. When water levels are normal, it covers 980 square kilometres which is 21 times bigger in size than Sydney Harbour. This can increase to 80 times bigger during a flood. Lake argyle is well recognised as one of the most spectacular places to visit in Australia.
